Jennifer Coolidge and Nicole Scherzinger Join Rebel Wilson's 'Girl Group'

New Cast Members Join the Comedy "Girl Group"

Jennifer Coolidge, known for her role in The White Lotus, and singer and actress Nicole Scherzinger have joined the cast of Girl Group, a comedy currently in production. The film is being written, directed, and produced by Rebel Wilson, who also stars in it. It's set to be released under Live Nation Studios and Future Artists Entertainment.

Scherzinger, who recently completed her run on the West End and Broadway production of Sunset Boulevard, and two-time Emmy winner Coolidge will take on roles that haven't been fully revealed yet. Their characters are expected to play significant parts in the story, though details remain under wraps for now.

A Pop Diva's Comeback

In Girl Group, Wilson portrays a pop diva who has been excluded from her own girl group's reunion tour and faces a court-mandated community service sentence. Seizing this opportunity, she attempts a comeback by coaching a group of misfit teenage girls for a major record label audition. The film explores themes of redemption, teamwork, and the challenges of the music industry.

The ensemble cast includes several well-known actors and performers. Randall Park, known for his roles in WandaVision and Fresh Off the Boat, Sheridan Smith, who has appeared in Mrs. Biggs and Cilla, and Jamie Lee O'Donnell, from Derry Girls and Leonard & Hungry Paul, are all part of the cast. Comedian Guz Khan, best known for Man Like Mobeen and The Gentleman, as well as Jolene Blalock from Star Trek: Enterprise, round out the supporting cast.

Additionally, Ashley Roberts of the Pussycat Dolls, Melanie Chisholm of the Spice Girls, and Shaznay Lewis of All Saints will play members of the girlband Girlfriends alongside Wilson's character. Loren Gray, a popular social media personality, will also star in the film.
