Liberty Mutual Steps In as New Music City Bowl Sponsor for 2025

New Title Sponsor for the Music City Bowl in 2025

The Music City Bowl has secured a new title sponsor for its 2025 edition. Liberty Mutual has entered into a one-year deal with the bowl, which is held annually at Nissan Stadium in Nashville. This partnership marks a significant milestone for the event as it continues to grow and evolve.

The official announcement was made jointly by Mayor Freddie O'Connell and Music City Bowl President and CEO Scott Ramsey at Nissan Stadium on October 21. The event, now in its 27th year, brings together teams from the SEC and Big Ten conferences. The 2025 Music City Bowl is scheduled to take place on December 30 at 4:30 p.m. and will be broadcast on ESPN. This year will also mark the final year of the current conference tie-in deals with the Music City Bowl.

"We're very appreciative of Liberty Mutual's confidence in Nashville and their investment in the Music City Bowl," said Ramsey. "This marks the start of an exciting new chapter for our bowl game ... to further strengthen our presence on the college football postseason stage, while continuing to deliver an unforgettable experience for players and fans alike."

A Change in Leadership

Liberty Mutual has replaced TransPerfect as the title sponsor of the Music City Bowl. TransPerfect had been the sponsor since 2019, bringing a sense of stability and continuity to the event during that time. With the new partnership, Liberty Mutual is stepping into a prominent role that aligns with its commitment to supporting local communities and events.

This change comes at a pivotal moment for the bowl game, as it looks to build on its legacy while embracing new opportunities for growth. The partnership with Liberty Mutual is expected to bring fresh energy and resources to the event, enhancing the experience for both participants and spectators.

What to Expect in 2025

As the 2025 Music City Bowl approaches, fans can expect a high-energy atmosphere filled with excitement and anticipation. The game will not only showcase top-tier college football talent but also highlight the vibrant culture of Nashville. From tailgating to post-game celebrations, the event promises to be a memorable occasion for all involved.

With the new sponsorship in place, the Music City Bowl is well-positioned to continue its tradition of excellence. The collaboration between the bowl organizers and Liberty Mutual is a testament to the strong community ties that define the event.

As the countdown to the 2025 game begins, there is a growing sense of optimism about what the future holds for the Music City Bowl. With a new title sponsor and a renewed focus on delivering exceptional experiences, the event is set to remain a key fixture in the college football calendar.

"Partnering with the Music City Bowl, the city of Nashville, the SEC, the Big Ten, and ESPN is a tremendous honor and opportunity for Liberty Mutual," said Liberty Mutual chief marketing officer, Jenna Lebel. "It allows us to connect with fans and families in meaningful and memorable ways during a really special time of the year in the city of Nashville."

Missouri defeated Iowa 27-24 in the 2024 Music City Bowl in front of a crowd of 43,375. The Music City Bowl, which was originally played at Vanderbilt, will move to the new Nissan Stadium in 2027.

Before the current conference affiliation the Music City Bowl had tie-ins with the ACC and Big East.

"Liberty Mutual's investment in the Music City Bowl helps insure that one of Nashville's signature events continues to have a solid foundation in an ever-changing college sports landscape," O'Connell said. "I'm excited to see a company with a 100-year history as our new partner in a Nashville legacy. It's a vote of confidence for what we're doing as a city."
