Ant Anstead Shares Details of His Soccer-Related Injuries
Ant Anstead recently opened up about the injuries he sustained while playing soccer, sharing a candid photo on social media that highlighted his recovery process. The image showed him reclining shirtless, with visible signs of his physical struggles, including a torn labrum, a detached pectoral muscle, and a torn rotator cuff.
In the caption, Anstead wrote, “October can officially go away!” This message marked a turning point for him after a series of health-related events affected people close to him. He explained that the experiences prompted him to take a closer look at his own well-being. “Three close and beloved friends received terrible diagnoses! It kick started me to look closer at my health, and I went down many rabbit holes… Diet, peptides, body scans, vitamins etc etc,” he shared.
His journey into health and wellness took an unexpected turn when a freak soccer accident led to more severe injuries. “Then WHAMMO!! A freak footy accident and I detached my pectoral muscle and tore my rotator cuff and labrum!” he added.
Anstead, who is 46 years old, revealed that he is currently forced to rest following surgery. “So I’m taking it as a sign! And I am going back down the health rabbit hole as I’m in the age group where I need to take this stuff more seriously! And be healthier and kinder to my body,” he said.
He concluded the post by asking for support from his followers. “Any and all advice greatly appreciated…x”
