Ariana Grande Joins the "Meet the Parents" Franchise for the Fourth Film
Fans of the "Meet the Parents" franchise are in for a treat as Ariana Grande is set to make her big-screen debut in the upcoming fourth installment titled "Focker In-Law." The singer took to Instagram on Friday to share the exciting news that she has completed filming for the movie.
In her post, Grande expressed her deep affection for the cast and crew, writing, “These past few months have been so, so unimaginably special.” She also shared her love for the characters, stating, “I love my Fockers, and I love my Byrnes… so, so very much. I will miss this bunch terribly. See you next November!”
The Instagram post included a carousel of behind-the-scenes photos from the set, showcasing Grande hugging Ben Stiller, who reprises his role as Greg Focker, and another image of her locking arms with Beanie Feldstein.
The film is scheduled to be released in theaters on November 25, 2026. It will feature a return of several key actors, including Ben Stiller, Robert De Niro, Blythe Danner, Teri Polo, and Owen Wilson. Skyler Gisondo has also joined the cast, bringing new energy to the film.
John Hamburg, the writer of the first three films, is both directing and writing the screenplay for the new installment. While the plot details remain a closely guarded secret, Stiller provided some insight during a 25th-anniversary screening of the original "Meet the Parents" at this year's Tribeca Festival.
Stiller explained that the idea for the fourth film was inspired by his own life, saying, “What spurred the idea is that I'm the age that Bob was when we did the first movie.” He added, “It felt like a mirror to the first film, where one of my kids is thinking about introducing his person to the family.”
The original 2000 film, which follows Greg Focker (played by Ben Stiller) as he endures various awkward encounters while trying to impress his girlfriend’s parents before proposing, was a massive success. It grossed $330 million worldwide, leading to two more successful sequels: "Meet the Fockers" in 2004 and "Little Fockers" in 2010.
As anticipation builds for "Focker In-Law," fans are eager to see how the story will unfold and what surprises the film will bring. With Ariana Grande joining the cast, the movie promises to be an exciting addition to the long-running comedy series.
