“Back when she had us, social media wasn’t a thing,” Jennifer explained. “Our faces weren’t out there, and that really gave us the privacy to go to elementary school and have some semblance of anonymity and whatever semblance of normalcy we were able to have in the unique circumstances we did.”
A New Perspective as a Mother
Being a mom of two has given Jennifer a new appreciation for her mother, who is also a wonderful grandmother. She described her mother as a generous and loving person, and she finds it especially meaningful to see that same love being passed on to her children.
“She is just such a generous, loving person, that getting to see her throw all that love and generosity that she gave to me towards my children is the most special thing in the world,” Jennifer said. “If I can be a quarter of as good of a mom as she was, I will feel like I've done a good job.”
