Higgins disclosed in an airport update that she brought an impressive 10 bags along for her journey to California.
Her preparations for the major relocation weren't entirely smooth sailing, as evidenced by a photograph she posted showing a shattered mirror and glass shards scattered across the floor, accompanied by the caption, "Representation of how the past week has been." Higgins, 35, wasted no time getting down to business upon touching down in Los Angeles, posting a snapshot of herself walking confidently into a photoshoot, captioned: "Chapter: Hollywood.", reports the Irish Star.
She subsequently posted an image of herself positioned over sidewalk art that declared, "London isn't the same without you."
Although Higgins was raised in Ballymahon, Ireland, she's believed to currently reside in Essex, England. She's achieved celebrity status through various reality television programs, including Love Island U.K., Love Island USA's Aftersun, The Traitors, and now Dancing with the Stars.
Bringing her vibrant personality and Irish wit to the dance floor, Maura Higgins is set to compete as Dancing with the Stars Season 35 kicks off with a two-night premiere on Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2026.
Higgins has yet to be paired with a professional dance partner; however, having shared the screen with pro Mark Ballas on The Traitors, she has publicly expressed her desire for him to be her partner.
How is Maura Higgins preparing to compete on Dancing with the Stars?
Higgins previously told Good Morning America that she "manifested" her way onto Dancing with the Stars, and now she's setting her sights on manifesting a victory in the celebrity dancing competition.
"I'm a strong believer in manifesting, so yeah, everyone just keep manifesting for me because I definitely need that. I'm going to need all the help I can get," she told People in an interview.
She also opened up about her preparation for the show, telling the outlet, "I'm going to put the work in. I'm not going to be lazy with it. I want to do well.
"I don't want to take it so serious that I lose the fun side of it. I just want to be me and have fun and just try my best," she added.
"I don't really go into any shows with strategy, to be honest," Higgins told People, acknowledging that she has no definitive game plan for the competition. "I think I just want to go in and be me."
Why doesn't Maura Higgins want to partner with Gleb Savchenko?
Higgins ranked among the initial celebrities confirmed for Season 35, with supporters anxiously anticipating the announcement of the remaining contestants and their professional partners.
Although Higgins clearly desires a partnership with Ballas, she emphasized one non-negotiable stance in an interview with E! News: "I'd be happy with anyone except Gleb [Savchenko]... That's only because I'm loyal and I'm friends with Brooks [Nader]."
Nader and Savchenko had a short-lived romance after being paired during season 33 of DWTS.
"I don't really like the way he speaks about women," Higgins told the outlet.
"I don't really want to spend all my time with someone like that," she said at the time. "I'm like, no thank you."
